About
Numbers sink through deep water. As they sink they come apart into their prime factors, and the primes drift away to a number line at the edge of the screen, where they light up and pass on. Nothing accumulates. There is nothing to win.
- You never do arithmetic. The numbers come apart on their own
- The number line is walked in order, so twin primes and prime deserts appear as they really are
- Amber means prime — nothing else in the app uses that colour
- Twenty codex cards appear as the numbers that earn them drift past
FAQ
What am I supposed to do?
Watch. That is the whole of it. Tapping does not make anything go faster.
It got too fast
Turn on SLOW at the bottom right. Speed returns to how it began, and nothing you have bought is lost. Turn it off and the speed comes straight back.
What are factors for?
They come in as numbers come apart. Touch the amount at the bottom of the screen to spend them on unravelling faster, sending numbers sooner, or splitting the flow.
Where is the codex?
Top right. It holds every prime you have passed, the cards you have found, and the whole number line you have walked, with the primes flagged.
It stopped and showed me a wall of text
You reached the limit of what can be held in a 64-bit integer, or a number that could not be factored within the work allowed. Calling something prime when it is not known to be prime is not an option, so it stops. The codex stays open.
Can I move my progress to another device?
Not at the moment. Everything is stored on your device only and is lost if the app is deleted.
Do I need an internet connection?
Only to show ads. Everything else works offline.
